Statutes

The statutes define the legal framework, mission, bodies, membership categories and governance rules of the Société ethnomycologique de Genève.

Identity of the association

The Société ethnomycologique de Genève is a non-profit association established in accordance with Articles 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code.

Its registered office is located in Geneva, Switzerland.

Purpose of the association

The purpose of the association is to promote the study, preservation, documentation and transmission of knowledge related to fungi, in their cultural, historical, social, culinary, medicinal, technical and symbolic dimensions.

It develops activities in particular in the fields of research, training, publication, documentation, cultural mediation, audiovisual production and the organization of public events.

Members

The statutes define the membership categories, admission conditions, rights and obligations of members, as well as the terms relating to participation in the life of the association.

The SEMG distinguishes in particular between supporting members and active members, in order to protect the stability of the association and ensure coherent governance.

Bodies and governance

The bodies of the association, their responsibilities and their operating procedures are defined by the statutes.

These rules aim to ensure transparent, stable governance consistent with the purposes of the Société ethnomycologique de Genève.

Resources

The association’s resources may come in particular from membership fees, donations, grants, private or public support, partnerships, income from activities, publications, events and services related to the purposes of the association.

Dissolution

The conditions for the dissolution of the association and the allocation of its assets are defined by the statutes.

These provisions aim to protect the society’s mission and ensure that its assets are allocated in accordance with its purposes.
