The festival

Four days dedicated to fungi.

Geneva Fungi Fest is a public festival carried by the Société ethnomycologique de Genève. It brings together cinema, conferences, photography, cuisine, encounters and a mycological parade around fungi, their uses, their narratives and their imaginaries.

Over four days, the festival brings science, cultures, arts, popular knowledge, culinary practices and contemporary issues into dialogue. It invites the public to discover the fungal world differently, in a setting that is accessible, lively and demanding.

Programme

The main axes of the festival.

Fungi cinema

A programme of films, short and feature-length works, documentaries, fiction and hybrid forms to explore fungi through images, narratives, living environments and the imaginaries they inspire.

Conferences

Encounters with researchers, authors, practitioners and specialists to open dialogue around fungi, their uses, their histories and their place in societies.

Photography exhibition

An exhibition dedicated to fungal forms, textures, presences and environments, conceived as an invitation to look differently at what often develops beyond the visible field.

Mycological parade

A public, costumed and festive highlight in the city, with a parade, music, a prize for the best fungal costume and a collective celebration of the imagination of fungi.

Cuisine & restaurants

Culinary proposals, collaborations and experiences around fungi, connecting the festival with flavours, tables and the work of the restaurant sector.

Workshops & young audiences

Discovery activities, workshops and mediation formats allowing children, families and curious visitors to approach fungi through observation, gesture and imagination.
