Studio SEMG makes it possible to record interviews, conversations and audio formats around ethnomycology, mycology, fungal knowledge, cultural practices and the projects carried by the Society.

Courses & educational content

Studio SEMG supports the creation of videos, courses, demonstrations, educational capsules and resources intended for SEMG Academy, workshops and training pathways.

Audiovisual memory

Activities, encounters, conferences, field projects and testimonies can be documented in order to enrich the Journal of Ethnomycology and build a living audiovisual memory of the SEMG.

Audiovisual creation

Produce, document, transmit.

Studio SEMG supports the creation of audiovisual content related to ethnomycology, scientific mediation, fungal knowledge and the relationships between fungi, environments, practices and societies.

It supports the production of documentary formats, interviews, educational capsules, training content, mediation projects and visual creations that can enrich SEMG Academy, the Journal of Ethnomycology, Geneva Fungi Fest and the other spaces of the Society.

Fiction

Stories, short or feature-length films, visual worlds and narrative creations inspired by fungi, their forms, their environments, their uses or their place in imaginaries.

Documentary

Interviews, portraits, fieldwork, practices, laboratories, forests, producers, researchers, communities and knowledge related to the fungal world.

Animation & hybrid forms

Animation, experimental video, educational forms, visual works and creative formats to explore differently the relationships between fungi, knowledge, environments and societies.

Support

Develop a project with the SEMG.

Project holders can contact the SEMG to present an idea for a film, documentary, animation, educational format or audiovisual creation related to ethnomycology, fungi, fungal knowledge or cultural and scientific mediation.

Depending on the nature of the project, Studio SEMG can contribute to the editorial reflection, project preparation, networking, search for partners or production of content adapted to the Society’s spaces.
